I just posted a feature request to the forge:

The idea is to have a checkbox on each row of the userlist and have several "action buttons" at the top of the list. Pressing an action button would trigger this action to all selected users.

Actions could be
-ask contact
-email
-ban
-subscribe to an event
-etc.

This could be made with a plugin architecture in the following way:
Define two new functions, one to display a popup and the other one to perform an action. The pop up asks for further parameters for the action (e.g. mail message, topic, etc) and the function that processes the action takses these parameters, list of selected userids and performs it's magic.

This would significantly enhance the ways CB could be used.

Actually, the same actions should be able to be fired from profiles as well.
