Is the connector compatible with Register Globals OFF in global.php,

The 1.0.11 upgrade of Joomla for security reasons requires this however the connector control panel will not load correctly when I call it.

If I turn it on again in global.php then everything seems fine again!

Could you please advise

Is this "register globals" or RG_EMULATION?

I know that RG_EMULATION caused problems as Joomla's globals.php file will erase global variables with it turned off.

See this thread for help on fixing that issue... also just posted up a phpbbgui.php patch on

that should help...

It's the emulation in joomla's globals.php

They recommend turning it OFF but when I do the connectors control panel will not load, it thows an error.
As a temporary fix, i turned ON emulation, did what I needed and turned it OFF again but I don't know it that will cause problems.

I'll try your fix and come back here if get problems.

on a different note are you familiar with bigdump.php, need some advice on it.

Heard of bigdump.php but have never used it... so not much help to you on that one...

Very very useful for inserting an SQL database into an existing one, I used it to merge my phpbb one into joomla's.

I just needed to know if it will over write the existing tables or rename the tables thats all,
