Does anyone know if the phpbb connector has problems with usernames that contain spaces?

I'm running joomla / cb / phpbb+connector.

I have CB configured to require both username and real first and last name.

We want real names appearing everywhere instead of usernames, but that's proving confusing with our users - their real names appear some places and their usernames appear others.

If I get rid of the first / last name field altogether and require that everyone change their usernames to their Real Name (i.e. "John Doe"), I'm just wondering if joomla/cb/phpbb might revolt on me with the spaces...
