How to search all fields? was created by Forgiss
I am on my second Joomla site, and my first try at CB.
I have not yet installed CB in my Joomla 1.5 install, as I had a nightmare getting that to work right, but before I do I have one question:
1. Can any of the fields I create in user registration be searched?
If I have a community of a few thousand members, how can different members with similiar interests find each other appart from the CB Lists?
I have gone through the help files and forum as far as possible, but this is still a loss for me...
your help will be seriously appreciated!

Hey,
you re right on joomlapolis
1.) you can search each field
using a component called cB advanced search
2.) you should give www.groupjive.org a try.
with GJ you members can have groups of interests where they can discuss in there own group forum (using Joomlaboard / Fireboard)
Cheers

I don't think it works on 1.5 as far as I can tell, certain components don't match up

I can't recommend Joomla 1.5 for live sites for now, btw.

ok, granted... but there seems to be no serious upgrade path from the previous stable version... so why build on the old cms instead of working through the bugs on the new one...
