Error after install

Error after install was created by hutchhollow
I installed CB 1.1 for the first time on my server and am getting this error message.

NOTE: I have searched the forums and FAQs and have seen others with this problem but no responses

The page was initially blank but then I turned on debug and got this error:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /xxxx/xxxxxxx/xx/xxx/xxxxx/www.xxxxx.com/webdocs/joomla/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/library/cb/cb.database.php on line 530

type-in "database.php on line 530" (without the quotes) into the little search-box called "search forum".

The few results will quickly lead you to the relevant workaround fix of this php interpreter bug:
