I am using version 1.1 and joomla 1.5.7

My problem is that I click on the icon to approve the new user and nothing happens.

My settings are as follows:
Allow user registration:yes, independently of global setting
Require admin approval: yes
Require email confirmation: yes
Registration email address: User Registration

etc etc

As admin, I am receiving emails that people are registering. The email they receive says

Hello Administrator,

A new user has registered at blah blah.
This e-mail contains their details:

Name: atest
E-mail: blah@blah.org.au
Username: atest

No confirmation email or anything.

The only way I can get around this and have them using the site is to sync users. Why that works I don't know??

For the user to register, I am using a link User -> Register. Is this wrong? Should I be using a comm builder register link?

Need help asap. Really appreciate your help. Also, am I right in guessing that I can't install 1.2RC2 stable once this issue is rectified??

Ok, I fixed it.

I needed to use the CB Register link rather than the Joomla one.
