Date field validated when Admin validation off

Date field validated when Admin validation off was created by Dorgo
I am unable to save user details when editing from the backend if a date field is left blank even when "Fields validation in Admin" is set to off.
No other fields are validated.
One thing of note is that the validation javascript alert is displayed after the form is submitted and page reloaded.
When "Fields validation in Admin" is turned on, the validation failure of other fields is displayed before the form is submitted.
