currently i am using CB 1.1 but i want to upgrade to 1.2 rc2,

I have read somewhere in the forum that the new version has a option in the config panel that allows you to use your email address instead of your username to login? is this correct? It was not so clear if the new version has this already or will have this in the future.

Does the new version also have a newsletter feature built into it? I heard something about yanc being integrated into it?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

i don't use yanc, but i can tell you that in rc2 at least, there is an option in the config to use email, username, or either to login!

There's the standard YaNC plugin in that ships with CB as it did in the past. Of course, you have to have the YaNC component installed for it to be useful.

It is available separately at extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,172/Itemid,35/ .

Note that it is NOT J! 1.5 native if that's important to you.
