Install incomplete pluginsfiles.tgz still exists

I get the following when I try to install CB 1.2 RC3 on Joomla 1.5.3.

Error while opening {/var/www/vhosts/j2st.com/httpdocs/tmp/install_490342636c992/index.html} in write binary mode
Installer - Error
Uncompressing /var/www/vhosts/j2st.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz failed.]

I tried both Method #1 and Method #2 to install but with no luck. I tried the solution at How to get the CB 1.2 RC2 working and it seems to have worked.

Anyone know what causes this?

I get the same error.
This was after having trouble installing the componet.

I'm having nothing but trouble with CB and I just started.

I believe I need to uninstall this troublesome extension. How do I get my money back? (never used the program)

Not a problem in CB.

Your server has owner/permission issues.

Try changing temporarly the folder permission to 777 for:

components
components/com_comprofiler
administrator/components
administrator/components/com_comprofiler
media
tmp

, or try using FTP install mode in joomla global config, if on joomla 1.5.

Changing Permissions did NOT work ... I still get the same errors as the others in this forum ...

Unable to create path for /home/user/public_html/_domain.com/media/install_495115a24540d/language/
Installer - Error
Uncompressing /home/user/public_html/_domain.com/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/pluginsfiles.tgz failed.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
