Dear All,

I want to create a website with the following feature using CB. I would like to make sure that this type of feature is available or can be developed with the current CB system.

The functionality is the following:

I would need any user of my community to be able to fill from their own profile an article/post made of drop down fields and text, following a standard model that I will create.

This article/post needs to be searchable in a database. that will be accessible by all registered users.

As for example let's say my website is on food recipes. Any user can create an article following a standard model and selecting:

1) country of the recipes (drop down with all countries)

2) type of grain (drop down with pasta, rice, noodles, etc.)

3) sauce (with sauce, without sauce)

Description of the recipes: text

Other users should be able to search all recipes according to 1) 2) and 3).

Is this possible ? If yes, any developer available to help me ?

Thanks in advance.

As much as I'd like to sell you our solutions, I think you are better off for your specific use case to explore an extension that was designed to support such use cases.

Suggest you look here:

thanks for your answer. So the articles that we create on CB cannot be searchable according to certain fields?

the example of the food was just an example...

You do not create articles in CB. Articles are created in Joomla.

CB has user profiles for each site user.
Each user profile has CB fields.
CB Fields are search-able.

OK, so if I understand correctly we still need CB to make users interact with each others.

From CB page, users can create a post using articles on Joomla or integrations. Is it correct?

Community Builder has features to facilitate user interaction.

Regarding users using CB to create Joomla content you can watch our CB 2.0 tutorials here:

They should help you understand things better and most likely answer your questions.
