Using CB 1.4 and CBSubs 1.2.2 on Joomla 1.6.5

I'm having a strange issue. When a new user subscribes to a plan I want them to be moved to be a member of a new group. The group is a custom group, but it shows up in the drop down list and works fine.

The problem is that the "Registered" group is also there by default. It doesn't go away. The problem is that with both groups the registered group gets in the way of the custom group. I need the Registered group to go away when the user is subscribing.

Any suggestions?

Anybody? I've tried everything. I can get rid of it by using some custom SQL actions, but then the user has to log out and log back in. That won't work.

Why you don't update to cb1.7.1?
