[SOLVED] Registrations was created by Guardian1
We've not had any registrations for over two weeks now except spammers that never validate and I know that we changed our site title and metas which affected our rankings

But just had a new registration today yippeee, only no email came through on my end and he was "admin pending acceptance" on cb user list, so I checked cb config and its not set for "admin approval" so saved the cb registration config again and ran tools to synchronise the user, so now we have him on site, but still no email notification through to me

so I have admin pending but its not set for admin approval ...Bit strange

O its joomla 2.5.6 and cb 1.8.1

Are you sure these registrations are happening through CB?
Maybe you still have Joomla registration open?

Global config site settings = "default captcha "none selected"

I never noticed that before 2.5 joomla does have this user manager "options" tab, the same as on cb

user config on the joomla "options" popup window is "yes for allow user registrations

new user group "registered"

acc activation "self"

captcha user default

Some seem to be coming in fine and others I'm having to run tools for

user config on the joomla "options" popup window is "yes for allow user registrations

Does this need to be put to "no" or doesn't it matter ?

Yes, you need to set this to NO.

Otherwise, people (and mainly spambots) will directly link to your Joomla registration URL (even if you have not published it on any menu item and register via joomla causing the issue you are seeing.

I believe this is covered in the detailed CB guide you can download and study.
