Fatal Error when editing a custom field

Fatal Error when editing a custom field was created by kilativ
Hi, I am very new to CB. i've just installed it today as described in the readme file. Added a custom field (text field, required, visible in a profile, visible at registration, published). I get the following error from admin UI and registration UI:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getpublicproperties() in /home/heywoodh/public_html/joomla/includes/database.php on line 550

you probably have joomla 1.0.5 installed - if so upgrade to 1.0.7 or read other related threads in these forums.

you are right. thanks. I've used fantastico when i instsalled joomla and my hosting company is still on 1.0.5. I've upgraded manually to 1.0.7 and it works. Thanks again.
