Does any one have this running on a live site so we can see it in action?

I apologize ahead of time if I'm reporting my troubles incorrectly (I'm new to this).

When I tried to install the zip package as a CB plugin, it failed.
When I tried to install the zip package as a Joomla component, it failed (I tried both ways, the README_en said "it can be installed the usual way, I wasn't sure which one was the usual way).

When I tried to perform a backup of the files before replacing them via FTP, when I tried to access the directory "/components/com_profiler/" I was told "access denied."

I figure that last one is something I did wrong during my joomla installation that caused joomla to own the directories.

Hope this helps with any troubleshooting.

Update on this:

Using joomlaExplorer I was able to perform the Alternative install method.

When going to the userList page to perform a search,
the link "The search is currently disabled" appeared.

One of the drop down lists appeared in Italian, the other appeared in english.

Hey omegix,

What you experienced could be due to a few things. the package contains modified files of CB (but a complete installation) so when you tried to install it as a component, joomla saw that the files already exsisted. Being a component of joomla, it's not able to be installed as a plugin. In the first post it mentions which files were modified so if you don't want to uninstall your copy of cb in order to get the feature, you can overwrite those files in cb with the list of modified files.

the reason you were having a problem accessing some of the cb folders is because joomla uses apache to install packages. so the file/folder ownership were set to apache, and your ftp permissions do not allow you to view apache's files/folders. when you used the joomla file manager it was using apache to view them and modify them which is why you were able to view and overwrite them.

these things are common with shared hosts.

oops forgot about the italian words....give me a few minutes and i'll look at it. the fields that create the template of qualifiers seems to still be in italian....

Edit: Updated file at www.corpwebhost.com/comprofiler.html.zip includes the fix to the new fields being in Italian. If you overwright the file in the package with the one in the fix it will work.
