Perfect! Under List Management, in my User List for Shop:Clothing, under "filter": In first dropdown, I selected "category". In second dropdown, I selected "equal to" and in third drop, I typed in Shop:Clothing. Then under Multi-Criteria Searches, I set the Searchable fields to "No". This is exactly what I needed.

By the way, even though I didn't understand the power of filters from the manual, I did find another section in the manual that explained and solved another problem I had so it was worth my investment, not to mention all the extra downloads that came with it.
