Community Builder Plugin install fail - XML setup

Community Builder Plugin install fail - XML setup was created by riorick17
I get the message:
Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.
when I attempt to install a plugin from CBE. It happens with the plugins from:
AdsManager
GroupJive
which are the only plugins i have tried to install.
The GroupJive component from the admin screen says "CB not installed!"
I know both .xml files are there so I don't know what this error is caused by.
Joomla 1.5.22
CBE 1.4.12

This website and its community distributes and supports THE Community Builder - not CBE.
CBE is a early fork of an old CB version. You did not download it from here and you will not be able to find any help here - suggest you find the site you downloaded it from and ask for assistance there, or uninstall it and install the original CB supported here (CB 1.4 will work on any Joomla version).
