Joomla 1.6 - KUNENA 1.6.3 - CB 1.4 was created by worldwide
Hello,

as written as the subject i have the following configuration and all works.
Nothing extra installed or adjusted.
- Joomla 1.6
- KUNENA 1.6.3
- CB 1.4

Now heres my question :

1) is it possible to make two groups ( like group1 and group2 )
2) The users of group1 (user1A and user1B) should be able to communicate with eachother
3) They also should be able to view and comment the group2-FORUM
4) And they should be able to make new topics in the group1-FORUM

5) Users of group2 (user2A and user2B) should NOT be able to communicate with each others
6) Users of group2 should be able to view group1-FORUM and add new topics to group2-FORUM

7) Users of group2 and group1 SHOULD BE ABLE to communicate with eachother

I hope someone could help me out with this nifty setup ? ;-)
And i hope i could write it as easy as it is ?

Would be great if someone has any idea how to solve this problem ?!

Thanx in advance for any comment and/or help

FYI - Kunena has not yet released a fully compatible version for Joomla 1.6.

You can create different ACL groups with Joomla 1.6. However, I am not sure how you would be able to take advantage of these in CB and Kunena.

2) The users of group1 (user1A and user1B) should be able to communicate with eachother

Define communicate.
If you are hinting private messaging, then this needs to be installed separately.

3) They also should be able to view and comment the group2-FORUM
4) And they should be able to make new topics in the group1-FORUM

Kunena does not currently support groups in forums.

5) Users of group2 (user2A and user2B) should NOT be able to communicate with each others
6) Users of group2 should be able to view group1-FORUM and add new topics to group2-FORUM

Kunena does not have this feature.

7) Users of group2 and group1 SHOULD BE ABLE to communicate with eachother

You can accomplish most of the above with CB 1.4, CBSubs and Kunena on Joomla 1.5.22.

Thats right and i did, but as you mentioned ... i couldnt find a connection/idea for my goal

I installed uddeIM, this should be enough and this is what i ment with communication .. sorry, my previous explanation was akward ;-)

So what i ment was .. each user in group1 should be able to send PM and PM to the users in group2,BUT no user from group2 should send PM to users in group2

Kunena does not currently support groups in forums.

But they have : Category Manager and i thought maybe here coud it be realized.
Im working on this one .. but i didnt figure this out right now

Kunena does not have this feature.

hhhhmmm thats bad :-(

Im setting up right now a new system with J1.5.22 and CB1.4 but im not sure if this CBsubs will help me out with this "project"

Thanx for your tipps and help .. ill keep here posted and would like to receive more ideas or tipps for this.
