500 Error when accessing Configuration page

12 years 1 month ago #193537 by andymet87
Hi all... Having recently upgraded and rebuilt a website I am now having a minor problem when I try and go to the community builder configuration page. I get this....

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, *****@*******.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at ******.co.uk Port 80

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I should go about resolving this?

Cheers! Andy

perhaps follow suggestion and look in your server error log?

also study our FAQ section.

This is not a potential CB bug.

I had this problem too. In my case it was PHP 5.3. When i use 5.2 there is no problem.
Other possibilities: dataright (don't know the real english word). My webhoster refuse all right >755.

And last i know: Maybe it is the .htaccess which require mod_rewrite.

Maybe this hints can help you.

Thanks for getting back to me!

Right so where would I find the error log?

And my php version is currently 5.2.17 so maybe that isnt the issue? That said, I can always try a new htaccess. How would I go about doing that!??!?

Cheers to both of you for your suggestions!

Ok, so I have now addressed the all of the above errors apart from the one one that matters!

This is what I am left with....!

[Thu Mar 08 03:31:03 2012] [error] [client ***.***.**.***] File does not exist: /home/***/public_html/**********.co.uk/administrator/js, referer: http://**********.co.uk/administrator/index.php?option=com_comprofiler

So the administrator/js file is missing.... I guess I had better have a look for it, is this file anything to do with CB or not?
