Multiple emails after registration was created by mcrone
Hi,
I understand that there is a purported bug in Joomla 1.6 and that is why two emails are sent after registering a new user from the backend and CB/add user. Is there any workaround for this at the moment? I have a large group of new users to add manually and would prefer not to confuse them with duplicate emails. Thanks!

Only workaround would be to initially put a dummy - fake email address when creating new user from backend.
This would stop all email sending from backend when new user is created.
Then you can edit the user and put in the real email.
Nothing else I can think of.
