GD NOT INSTALLED & FREETYPE NOT INSTALLED

GD NOT INSTALLED & FREETYPE NOT INSTALLED was created by rhondab
Using the CB captcha plug-in on a private server. Captcha is installed but it is not showing up and I am getting this error message:

Plugin Prerequisites
Captcha Requirements: GD: GD NOT INSTALLED!!!
Freetype: FREETYPE NOT INSTALLED!!!

My question is, how do I get these installed?

Private server?
Are you the admin of this server?

I guess I would google on this to find out how to install / compile PHP version with these libraries installed.

Hi,

I am not the admin of the server. It is a site for a local private, non-profit, Community Action Council. New website is www.commaction.org/joomla/
