Cannot install Mamblog

Cannot install Mamblog was created by JoostG
Hi everyone,
Joomla: 2.5.8
PHP: 5.2.11
memory_limit: 48M
Hopefully you can help me with the following. When I try to install (by uploading the zip in extension manager) Mamblog version 1.0 I get the following error. JInstaller::Installatie: Kan geen Joomla XML-setupbestand vinden (translation: Could not find Joomla XML-setup file).
I googled a lot around this problem and tried the following solution.
Unzipping the package on my local pc. Then put all the files, via ftp, in a new map which I created, called mamblog in my tmp folder. Then try to install via directory /xxx/xxx/xxx/tmp/mamblog. However then I get the following error:
JInstaller::Installatie: Kan geen Joomla XML-setupbestand vinden
Pad heeft geen geldig installatiepakket.
(Path does not have valid installation package)
So could someone please help me with this?

Mamboblog is a very old extension that only works on Joomla 1.0.

Ok thank you. So what blog plugin should I download that I can combine with CB?

We offer the CB Blogs plugin that works with Joomla content, K2 content or its own internal content storage system.
Is is offered as part of the Professional membership.
There are also other Blog extensions on the JED (Joomla Extensions Directory) that you can look at - most should have CB integration.

Ok I managed to download the easyblog plugin and install it.
I published easyblog in the plugin management. And I also in the tab management. However in the frontend it says that my blog is not installed? Did I miss something?
