Creating a CUSTOM URL for users/members

Now all we need is a cb plugin that displays their custom user url on their profile.

Sounds like an easy one to me... but I haven't a clue when it comes to coding.

EXACTLY! Like this:

"Your custom user URL is: www.mysite.com/username"

My site is www.thefword.fm I would like it if on your profile page it said:

Tell your friends to visit your page at www.thefword.fm/mediaguru

Anyone with the right skills up for this?

Yes that is EXACTLY the concept. Take it one step farther:

Not only have the user's URL there, but have a click to INVITE other users or SEND THIS PERSON'S URL to his friends.

We're onto somthing VERY COOL here.

Yes I could, unless of course the user can SET HIS OWN url which is possibly different than the username (just like myspace).
