[SOLVED] Options for editing was created by libertygirl
Hi,

I'm using joomla 1.6 and have noticed when I install templates that some have certain editing options. I was wondering before I purchase, what they are with funlite. Are there any ways of altering colours, backgrounds, headers etc?

Also, if I can't alter colours, backgrounds, headers etc through joomla (to create styles) then is there anyway of duplicating the template so I can alter the css by hand and then use them as different styles. Do I just edit its name?(That make sense?)

Thanks in advance

Okay, now I'm even more confused. I got to the template demo by following the links on the templates page. This is where it took me:

templates.joomlapolis.com/demo/funlite/j15/

Now I love that template. Then I spotted the j15 bit. I altered it to j16 presuming that would show it as a joomla 1.6 template...

templates.joomlapolis.com/demo/funlite/j16/

Looks totally different!

Am hoping that I shouldn't really have found that page because if you click on "Using joomla!" in the top menu you then get a really odd looking drop down menu from it.

Is there no way of getting that first template for using on 1.6?

Both templates work the same.

The 1.6 demo is not finished yet that is way no link is given.

You should be able to style it just the same on J16.

Just to clarify what I meant. When you say I can style it the same in joomla, do you mean it actually has the options I mentioned above? Some templates don't have any options to edit.

I just need to know how I can use that template to make different styles. A different background etc. Do I just copy the template and call it something different and then upload it?

Please excuse my ignorance. I find it hard to put into words what I'm asking

Thanks for your patience

Sent you email with more information.

Yes there are template options allowing you to change fonts, colors, enable drop-down css menu, etc.
