I am not looking for code changes, the old post i referred to, there was a post that the time zone issue will be fixed in forthcomign release just wanted to check if it was indeed fixed ? if not how can i reflect the right time zone for the recepient ?

The changes mentioned in the post are already implemented in uddeIM. uddeIM stores only one time (the server time) when a new message is created. This time will be corrected by the time zone from the user profile.
Have you tried to correct the time zone in uddeIM backend so maybe the time is only shifted?

I have tried that too, but wouldn't that fail if there are different users from accross different time zones as any changes in the backend will sort of hardcode the timezone in the system?
