problem about log in

when i log in cb , the screen shows me fatal error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 98304 bytes) in C:\wamp\www\joomlae1\modules\mod_mainmenu.php on line 118
i try change php.ini memory limit: 8m to 24m,
but still have the same fatal error,
could you tell me why?
by the way, i test it by local computer.
