Notifications on profile page

I like how in the login module you can see if you have private messages and/or connection request.
I plan on hiding the login module after the user logs in, I will add a logout button to the user menu and I help with the last part and that is since after login they are directed to their profile, I would like to have these notifications shown in their profile. See the attached image of what I would like.
