I cannot find any settings that would make sense to change, yet this obviously works for some people

same problem on a friends RC3 using joomla 1.0
slightly different in that you type in user/pass and it just reloads the main page without logging you in, no error msg etc, does not matter if "remember me" is ticked.
Try it in IE and it works perfectly

ok, partially figured it out, firefox logs in if I goto sitename.com but not if I go to www.sitename.com
just gotta figure out how to fix it now

Hiya i tried adding a meta http-equiv redirect in index.php which worked but threw up errors.
I tried playing with .htaccess but could not figure it out.
so I went into joomlas configure.php and changed the "live site" option from the http:// type to the http://www. type and itworks fine in firefox now, both with and without www
now just to fix my other problems
