Sounds like a template problem and if so CB 1.2 will not fix your template.

Try the default Joomla template and see if things are better.

If not it would really help to give more details about your environment.

I just tried with IE7 on this site and didn't see that problem.

However I looked at the tabpanes code and found a possible problem...

Please try following fix and feed-back if it works for you:

open file:

components/com_comprofiler/js/tabpane.js

change line 234 from:
[code:1] this.tab.onclick = function () { oThis.select(); };
[/code:1]

to:

[code:1] this.tab.onclick = function () { oThis.select(); return false; };
[/code:1]

then save this file, AND copy it (overwriting existing file) tabpane.pack.js

which is in same folder.

Then using the same browser which had the issue, go to user profile which had this problem, and this is important, reload the page (to clear the browser cache). Then try to see if it now works.

Waiting for your reply before moving thread to known issues and commiting the fix to CB 1.2.

Please try reloading the edit page as well (was it front-end or backend user edit ?).

Or clear all the cache of your browser, and try again please.
