This thread discusses the Content article: Joomla 1.5 RC2 Released!

Please check and report general problems with Joomla! 1.5 RC2 here:

forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,199.0.html

So far:

General:

- SEO broken
- Site search broken
- Installation folder security not applied
- Bread crumb broken
- Accessibility broken ( see this blog )
- Upgrade by replacing complete directory, don't overwrite for security reason
- invalid RSS outputs
- massmail to usergroups broken
- weblinks ordering and management bugs
- email article broken
- security issue in media manager

CB-related Joomla 1.5 RC2 bugs found this week and which were not fixed for RC2 (Joomla! team told us they will get fixed for RC3):

- Backwards incompatible with CB 1.1 login module
- Check-ins not working in backend
- Tooltips broken in backend
- Component installer broken when site debug modes are on.

Following these initial reportings, we do not recommend Joomla 1.5 RC 2 for production sites.

Disclaimer: I'm also a member of Joomla Q&T WG, and our workgroup (and CB testteam) unfortunately didn't have a chance to test the final build after some last-minute major refactorings.

I would like to thank specially the CB testteam members who have been actively testing the CB 1.1 - Joomla pre-RC2 interoperability these last days. Their work has been very useful to CB to understand and fix Joomla interoperability issues for next Joomla 1.5 RC 3 release.

EDIT: updated main bugs list

Is Joomlapolis going to do something to make CB work with rc2? Or waiting till the rc3 or final comes out?

:) or is it so that CB is ok, but rs2 has some errors that make it work bad with CB1.1?

I believe that the CB Community (CB Team and testers) have sincerely tried to ensure that CB 1.1 would be compatible with Joomla 1.5 RC2 (or vice versa).

A number of issues were identified early in the process (as you can see if you follow the development history) but these issues were not addressed.

Hopefully these issues will be fixed soon in the Joomla SVN trunk of 1.5.

WIth Joomla 1.5 you are usually better off using SVN or nightly builds... ;)

Ok, just to see if i understand your posts correctly, you advise to use the latest nightly Joomla 1.5(or SVN) together with CB 1.1?
