Can anybody help with this?

I am still trying to get this issue fixed, and nobody is responding. I have reinstalled Joomla 1.5, reinstalled CB Subs, upgraded CB Subs to the latest version, and still am not able to protect content in the simplest form. Does this actually work? I am going through your 455 pages of documentation, and getting really frustrated with how difficult this small project is turning out to be. Please tell me what I need to do to figure this out or get my money back on this purchase.
