Really stupid noobie question driving me mad!

Hi guys,

You can probably answer this without even thinking about it but it's been driving me mad.

Where can I find this untranslated string:

This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot your password, click on the Forgot your password link and a new password will be sent to you.

Which arises if someone tries to register when they are using an existing email address? It is subtely different from the CB default language string and I just can't locate it!

Ruth

Language>en-gb>ini files for com_user etc
Components>com_comprofiler>plugins>language>default language>default_language.php

I've tried everywhere I can think of, and I've come close but not found the exact string.

Turning on language debug I get the following:
•Untranslated Strings Diagnostic•

•THIS E-MAIL IS ALREADY REGISTERED. IF YOU FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD, CLICK ON THE FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD LINK AND A NEW PASSWORD WILL BE SENT TO YOU.•	moscomprofilerUser::store()	[/home/mydomain/public_html/myfolder/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/library/cb/cb.tables.php:1423]

•Untranslated Strings Designer•

# /home/mydomain/public_html/myfolder/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/library/cb/cb.tables.php

•THIS E-MAIL IS ALREADY REGISTERED. IF YOU FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD, CLICK ON THE FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD LINK AND A NEW PASSWORD WILL BE SENT TO YOU.•=•This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot your password, click on the Forgot your password link and a new password will be sent to you.•

Searched and found it in language.php file:

if (!defined('_REGWARN_EMAIL_INUSE')) DEFINE('_REGWARN_EMAIL_INUSE', 'This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot the password click on "Lost your Password ?" or on "Password Reminder" and new password will be sent to you.');

Hiya,

Maybe I am being a bit daft but what language.php file are you referring to? I can't find any instance of a language.php file in my CB directories?

Also, not really sure why it's using this and not the appropriate language string from the CB default language file (default_language.php) where _REGWARN_EMAIL_INUSE is defined?

I am looking at CB 1.4 installation.

Don;t follow you here - I believe all CB language strings start with _UE_

Hi,

I am looking at a CB 1.4 installation, and I do not find language.php - please advise the full directory path so I can be sure I am looking in the right place! I've never had this problem before as I have always found the required strings in the default_language.php file.

The reason I am confused is because that string is defined in default_language.php (with different text that the client wants to use) so why is it not being used, and language.php (wherever that file might be hiding) is being used instead??

The language.php file is located in the following folder (once the english language plugin for CB 1.4 forge.joomlapolis.com/attachments/download/1030/CB1.4_english_en-GB.zip is installed):

components -> com_comprofiler -> plugins -> language -> en-GB

otherwise, if the CB 1.4 english language plugin is not installed things fall back to default language folder file default_language.php located at:

components -> com_comprofiler -> plugins -> language -> default_language

The reason I am confused is because that string is defined in default_language.php (with different text that the client wants to use) so why is it not being used, and language.php (wherever that file might be hiding) is being used instead??

Check if english language plugin is installed as specified above.
Changes should be made to english language plugin and not to default_language folder because with next upgrade the default_language folder files will be over-written.
