Hello there.

I'm experiencing a strange issue:
I have set up 2 Plans:
- Plan A which are the "Model-Hunters"
- Plan b which is a lifetime free subscription, for the Models

Now i set up a Tab an restrict availability for the MODELS and visibility for the Hunters and the Profile-Owner. But when i test it it fails. And i pretty much know why :

U have 3 testusers: 1 Hunter, 2 Models. The 2 Models were registered into the free lifetime Model plan.
But: when i go ti the userlist in the backend, only for the Hunter the colum "Subscriptions"- cell value is correctly shown (as "Model-Hunter" ), but for the 2 Models, that cell shows no value at all(!) , though it should show "Model".

So internally it somehow seems not be connected wth the plan its registered to, which is, why the field-tab doesnt work for Models.

Now i tried - in the uselist - open one user ( Model) and set it's plan to "Hunter", save it (-> Things work, Hunter-like), and then again edit that user and try change its Plan back to "Model"...
STRANGE : there appeares another Phantom-Entry that sais "Noone - Lifetime Subscription".
Anyway i choose "Model" now and just ignore the Phantom-Plan. -> Now when i'm back at the uselist, that Model/User is still assigned to NO plan instead of being subscribed to the "Model"-Plan.
Tab and Fiedprotections that specifically requite "Model"-Plan all fail again as expected.

Strange thing is: Whenever i go edit a user that should be "Model" it always shows :
1.- the green check saing this uses is "Model" which should be so, althoug seen from the userlist, that user should be assignet to no plan at all.
2.- Under that comes the red-crossed "Hunter"-Plan
3.!- And in the next paragraph there again is that Phantom:
QUOTE:
Current subscription upgrade possibilities:
None
Lifetime Subscription for Free.
QUOTE EOF.
which is uncheckable.

I'm out of ideas and desperate....

It seems to me as if:
1the: there's another phantom-plan in the system ( "Noone" )
OR:
there can be only one lifetime-free plan systemwide, which is some kind of standard, and if - as i did - u set up another, things mess up.

Any ideas ?

Btw: I've chacked the Database: There are only 2 Plans in there, as should be.

You need to configure your settings area to create subscriptions even for lifetime members.

Create Subscriptions also for free lifetime plans:

parameter in Settings -> Global tab.

Please do this - create a new user and retest.

K, it seems to work,
though it leaves me wondering...

Glad it works - wondering what?

A subscription is needed in order to trigger protection.

By that i ment that it i wonder about the internals behind the scenes. I would have expected that lifetime free is handled in an equal way like all other subscription-time-cost-frames, but lifetime-free siims te be some kind of specialcase internally.

This is not explicitly a question and thou does nt explicitly have to be answered ^^
