Can I change the expiration date of a plan

11 years 10 months ago #204874 by sorozco
Is there a way that I can manually change the expiration date of a plan for a particular subscriber without subscrbing him to another plan?

Example:

Plan a has a duration of 3 months.

Subscriber 1 has subscribed to plan A and it expires on July 1st
Subscriber 2 has subscribed to plan A and it expires on August 2nd

I want to change the expiration date of S1 to be July 3rd (later than its original expiration date), and S2 to be July 14th (a prior date than his original)

If it is not a supported feature, can I change it with another plugin or by code?

You can edit them as described in your CBSubs documentation.

Thank you nant for your response, that seem as very good news to us, at first.

But there is something that doesn't looks as good:

That same section has this warning:
"Alteration of this data may cause
many unforeseeable consequences and should be avoided if you do not know
exactly what you are doing."

We just want to change the expiration date. Do you think that could cause problems in the sytem?

The warning is for people to make sure they think about what they are doing.

If you have 2 active subscriptions that you want to modify their expiration dates to some other date in the future (before or after their current date - but still in the future), then modifying these subscriptions and just updating the expiration date should be fine.

Suggest you first create a test account with a test subscription and make this change there and see how things look - then apply to your live users.

Actually, you should always do such tests and always backup before making such changes - never take my word or anyone elses word - its your site and you are responsible for it. So you should take all precautions personally.
