Joomla 3.1 beta 1 released and we are 100% ready!

The Joomla project has just released Joomla CMS 3.1 beta 1 and will be releasing Joomla 3.1 stable in a couple of weeks (March 25th, 2013).

There are 5 new features in Joomla 3.1. The most prominent one is the new Tags functionality for Joomla content elements. This new feature lets you tag (mark) any content element (article, contact, etc.) and later on search for all elements of a specific tag.

The CB Team has also contributed a small new feature by adding missing triggers to the com_config component - every little contribution helps make our Joomla CMS even better.

The Joomla community is hosting a Pizza, Bugs and Fun global event this upcoming Saturday, March 16th, 2013. This is a great opportunity to help make your Joomla better and in the process to learn how to test and report and you will certainly make many cool new friends in the process. And if you are in Boston, the pizza is on us !

We have been testing Joomla 3.1 beta 1 with Community Builder, GroupJive, CB Activity, CBSubs, our 3 Joomla/CB templates and all our 100+ add-ons and we have not found a single issue!

This is great news as it means that all our products can work on all Joomla versions!

Your one click package with new CB Packager

Save time downloading and installing your CB solutions by using the new CB Packager page!

Just choose the add-ons you need and create a single click installable Joomla (3.0, 2.5 or 1.5) package ready for installation or upgrade.

The CB Packager page, previously available only for paid members, is now also available for Free members.

The process is easy and simple:

1. Go to the CB Packager page
2. Select the Joomla version you want to create a package for
3. Select the Community Builder component to reveal other add-ons
4. Select one or more add-ons
5. Click the Download button at bottom
6. Install package using the Joomla extension installer

The packager page will automatically detect your membership privileges and will let you select which add-ons you want to package together to create your personal single installable download package for the Joomla version you want.

When the packager detects an add-on that is not included in your current membership, you will be given the option to upgrade or purchase the membership or package needed in order to access it.

The CB Packager remembers the packages you create and lets you name each package and give it a description. In the future you will be able to download the same package but with the latest updated individual elements.

Another nice feature of the new CB Packager is the support of package presets. The CB Quickstart Pro package is now configured as a preset package and can be downloaded from the packager page.

This way it will automatically pick up latest CB Quickstart PRO elements, so there is no need to wait for new CB Quickstart PRO releases when (for example) a new CB Activity plugin version is released.

GroupJive 2.7 released with 15 new features!

CB GroupJive 2.7 is here with 15 new features ready to empower your members to create their own mini-communities on your Joomla 3.0, 2.5, 1.5 website !
