i have this same issue, 1.7 and 1.7.

PHP Version 5.3.6

i have disabled all other plugins. It is a fresh install.

I fixed my issue, a quick session of turning on site debug inside global configuration, and navigating to the page showed this.

# /home/content/97/8538497/html/plugins/editors/rokpad/rokpad.php

SAVE="SAVE"
SEARCH="SEARCH"
SETTINGS="SETTINGS"

which made me say "oh crap rokpad.php is from my template" turned off the plugin and it works.

I know this is an old post but I just had to THANK YOU! I am running a new install of CB 1.7.1 on Joomla 1.7.3 stable and was tearing my hair out because I could not get the save button to work in the CB administrator and could not find anything close to helpful in terms of a fix despite a lot of people apparantly having this issue. I saw your post, turned off my text editor and set it to none and voila! Thanks so much!

I have also the same bug in my joomla website details are below:
Joomla version :1.7.3
Community Builder Version:1.7

Also I had done the migration from joomla 1.6 to joomla 1.7.3 during the development process. Earlier it seems to be working fine but now it is not working.

If you can replicate on a clean (not migrated) Joomla 2.5.2 (or Joomla 1.7.3) CB 1.8 environment, then I will consider this a CB issue and I will escalate internal resources to fix.

Otherwise it is an issue with your specific environment.
