Don't get instruction page after request password

Don't get instruction page after request password was created by pkirbyr
CB version 1.2 RC 2
When requesting password I do not get a page indicating the password was sent to email. Where can I configure this?
And also not getting the email with the password.
I'm trying to go live with this site after next week and would appreciate assistance with this.

Upgrade to RC3 to see if it's resolved. If not, please post again, indicating what Joomla, database and PHP versions you're using.

upgrade to CB 1.2 RC3 didn't fix it problem.
When requesting password to be sent you basically get no response indicating a password was sent to your email or anything.
PHP 5.2.6
mysql 5.0.45
this has become one of several important issues to solve quickly due to the visibility the site will have.
