Hello,

i am new to CB and not so experienced in Joomla. I don´t had any CB installed so far on my more less fresh Installed (2 weeks ago) Joomla 1.0.13

I didn´t read all in this thread, its way too much by now, and since I didn´t had CB before, i wouldnt know what the most stuff is about anyways ;) , but what I understood is that the current CB isn´t working properly with Joomla 1.0.13

Is that only if I upgrade from a previous Joomla and CB or in general, also with a fresh Installation ? Do I have to wait for this new Version or can I use the last released Version of CB for my Joomla Site ?

Sorry if these questions are n00b but I had to ask. Thanks.

Actually, CB 1.1 works with:

- Joomla 1.0.0 - 1.0.13 (including all versions inbetween)
- Joomla 1.5 RC2 (and hopefully SVN at release time)
- Mambo 4.5.2.0 - 4.5.5 - 4.6.2 and 4.7 private build

It might work also with:

- Mambo 4.5.0(1.0.9) and 4.5.1 as well, but we didn't test those old versions.

It also adapts to the hosting CMS, and its database structure, including passwords storage types, so that all of this should have been invisible.

To answer another queston, yes the order in which to upgrade things (once available) is:

1) CB to version 1.1
2) Joomla to 1.0.13 or 1.5 RC or Mambo to 4.6.2.

since CB works on any version, but the reverse is not true for CB 1.0.2.

You mean joomla 1.5 RC1 (RC2 is not out yet,...or do you mean we need to wait till RC2 comes out?)

well i took the time to read the joomla forum about the upgrade and boy boy boy...what a mess.
As usual the replies there of the core builders there is close to zero.

As far as i know off this is the first time i see joomla only get worse instead of getting better.

It realy comes to this.....upgrading joomla to the 1.0.13 will deffinately mess up your site,or atleast give your site some huge problems.

My soon to be released website.

Hi!

Are the CB gallery and the other CB plugins/addons compatible with the new 1.1 version of CB?

How about the german language files, can I use the 1.0.2 language files with the new version?

Thanks for the great job!!!
