Can we just ftp and overwrite the files?

After fresh installation 2.0.1, activating and updating search fields and integration into a menu, the search form(s) appear as configured, but if i press any of the search buttons, i get the "access denied" standard page from Joomla (not Apache!). But i'm logged in as admin. All php files are writeable to my webserver user and readable for public.

Any ideas?

My problem is partially solved. The solution can be found in the forum from emptorum.
