Temp Fix!
I modified the administrator/components/com_comprofiler/comprofiler.class.php
file.

I commented out any lines like this:
header( 'HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden' );
echo "<script>alert('Session expired.'); window.history.go(-1);</script> \n";
exit;

seems to work, let me know

It works for me. Thank you for coming back and sharing the solution you found.

I gave you a karma-up for what that's worth. I would suggest to the powers that be posting this in an FAQ.

I can confirm the problem: Users withthe AOL Browser get a message like "Permission denied" after submitting the registration info. Is there any real fix for that? Anyone working on it?

The proposal by tonyurso is not really a fix imo, with that you disable all session handling, users will stay logged in forever! But that related code should be removed from the registration part of CB somehow...

Edit: I am running on a VPS that I can give a Dev access too, if needed.
CB version: 1.0.2, with CAPTCHA Plugin at registration

Database Version: 4.1.10a
PHP Version: 4.3.10
Web Server: Apache/2.0.53 (Linux/SUSE)
WebServer to PHP interface: apache2handler
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.0.12
Joomla! Register Globals Emulation: OFF
Register Globals: OFF
Magic Quotes: ON
Safe Mode: OFF
File Uploads: ON
Session auto start: OFF

Let me know if you need to know anything else

Well, i need a user with AOL and problems for tests...anyone ?

I don't have AOL myself and can't get it over here.

But it's a known joomla problem, and for full AOL support the Joomla sessions security level has to be set to lowest in joomla global settings. Did you do that ?
