An error has occurred. 0 You must specify a non-empty path to clean

I'm trying to create a menu for the admin page to allow a user with permision to access the backend to add users. I don't want them to have access to any other menus. I have the menu created, but when I try to add any Community Builder menu item to it, I get "An error has occurred. 0 You must specify a non-empty path to clean". I have this set up on another site, back in Joomla 3, and I get the error over there now too. This only happens when trying to add a CB item to the menu, all other menu item types work fine. Both sites are on Joomla 5 withe the latest version of CB. I'm running PHP 8.1

Kunena will error as well and suspect many other extensions will too. It's due to a change in the backend menu XML structure. We're only specifying the view while Joomla is expecting a link attribute. Not sure why or when this behavior was changed, but added a bug ticket to investigate further as we need to be sure making changes here won't break CB backend menu creation.

You can workaround this by using a menu type of System > URL then set the URL to the following.

index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=showusers
