CB Profile - Translation Issues

CB Profile - Translation Issues was created by kletterdorf
We are using the latest Joomla! / CB Versions.
When trying to edit the own profile the following issues occur:

- in tab guestbook the information text "notify_me" is in English, while the rest is translated to German as it is supposed to be
- in tab guestbook there is a typo "akativieren" instead of aktivieren

We found the relevant file that holds the required translated text - but have two questions:

- how do we ensure that an update does not overwrite our changes?
- why is the "notify_me" text not in German?

Many thanks.

We do not provide the translations. They are entirely community driven. See the below for localization details if you'd like to contribute.

You can use language overrides to fix missing translations or spelling errors as well. See the below on how to do this.

OK, thanks for the info.
One final question: why does the translated text not appear for "notify_me"? The corresponding translation is available in /components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/de-de/cbplugin/cb.profilebook-language.php. So I would expect the German text and not the English text. For all other content German is used, why not here?

The field title could be different from what the language key expects. It should be set to "Notify Me" within CB > Field Management for the below language string to translate it.

'NOTIFY_ME_8da7a3'	=>	'Notify Me',
