No, not without making a CB Auto Action specifically setup to send an email. The idea is really to shift away from sending emails to sending on-site notifications then eventually CB Activity will be able to send daily/weekly/monthly digest for new notifications (digests not implemented yet).

I love the idea, looking forward to it.

In the meantime I really need to setup email notifications when someone posts on an activty wall. I am having some trouble setting that up. Can you point me to the function i would need to use?

Best way to do that is to just make a copy of the "CB Activity - Post Notification" system action and change its type to Email.

Do I need to add some substitutions as well? It doesn't seem like it is working for me. Is there a "to" address that I need to put in?

Okay, so i have a email kicking out now. I need to figure out to add whatever the user posted in to the email. I also need to have a link to the group that they posted in that can be clicked in the email.

The trigger used by that system action is activity_onAfterCreateStreamActivity. So the variables available are as follows.

$_PLUGINS->trigger( 'activity_onAfterCreateStreamActivity', array( $stream, $source, $row ) );

var1 being the activity stream object, var2 being the source object for the activity post (e.g. gj group object), and var3 is the activity post it self. You can substitute in various details using those. For example [var3_message] is the activity post. [var2_id] would be the GJ group id if the source is a GJ group.
