Just copy the files over your existing joomla files.

1. You need to add a new field in your database. Here is the sql code

I don't have to go into the database???

As I stated you neeed to

1. Add the field in your database and
2. copy the files into the same folders

Before you copy the files, just rename the files on your web site. I always change the ending from php to old. This will enable you always to go back to the old version, if you need to.

To add the field open phpmyadmin, call up the databse and run the sql statement I have mentioned.

that's it!

Hope that info helps you!

This is exactly what I need. I am running a site for a high school almuni and I want our alumni to be able to search on a class year (cb_gradyear) field. This will do the trick. Would love it if the cb team would add this functionality.
