CB Auto Welcome - Auto Connect To Key User

Can you please clarify if this automatically sends a connection request or just connects the new member & key user?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response.

That is what I thought.

My colleague has added a new member in admin, gone to the front end and searched for them in the member list - he is showing as connected to them!

There is a gap of seconds and the member could not have accepted the request as they do not have their login details!

Any thoughts as to why this happens?

I guess it also depends on how you have configured connections in the CB Configuration -> Connections tab.
Look at Mutual consent parm.

this is set to 'Mutual Consent - Yes' so I guess the auto connection should not happen.

Replied by krileon on topic CB Auto Welcome - Auto Connect To Key User
CB Auto Welcome ignores the Connection parameters for the most part. If you don't want it automatically establishing the connection you need to set "Automatic Connection to key user" to "No" within CB Auto Welcome. This instead will leave the connection request as pending so they can either accept or reject it.
