There's no trigger output on category view to output something just before the groups. You'd need to alter the below template file and change how the trigger is handled.
Suggest doing this in your own custom template folder as altering the defaults will result in your changes lost on update.
This should all be significantly improved in a later release once GJ is rewritten to provide a generalized Community API to support multiple isolated GJ instances (like how you can have multiple different streams in CB Activity) as I'll be redoing most/all of GJs triggers at that point.
