Site key won't stay valid after update

Site key won't stay valid after update was created by fdinkler
I created site keys for all my sites and updated the CB config in each site.

I updated the site using "Install from web" and it recognized the key, and the components were updated.

When I attempt to update again, I get the "The supplied Site Key does not appear to be valid..." error, and the "You do not appear to be logged into www.joomlapolis.com/." notice.

I reconfirmed that the configured site key matches the generated key.
I regenerated the key, changed the key in the configuration, and the update recognizes the new key, and once again shows the updates. AFter performing the update, the same situation arises.
The new key is, again, not recognized.

The domain it validates against is based off whatever Joomla outputs for live_site. Will see if we can relax this a bit and ignore https/http part of the domain during validation since if your site allows for both if you login to backend with http and you generated your key with https the validation will likely fail since live_site will be sent without http. Are you accessing your backend with or without https or sometimes both?

SSL is required for both front and back.
My live_site setting has always been blank. ( public $live_site = ''; )

Why would the key be recognized once, then not again?
Thanks,
Fred

I've only seen that happen when the domain doesn't match. How did you create your site key? Did you use the button in CB > Configuration > Integrations or did you manually type in your domain? The button sends the domain exactly as Joomla will provide it. Am working to improve the error output so it provides the domain Joomla is sending us (note it's sha256 encoded so we're only comparing hash values, we don't see the actual domain).

Ok, have made some improvements for next CB release to improve the error output to include the expected domain. Am also improving things on our end to relax the domain validation to account for some common errors (e.g. http vs https or trailing slashes). Once released sometime today this should hopefully be less of an issue.

I've always copied and pasted the key from the joomlapolis page into the field on the Integrations tab.
If you're suggesting there is a button on the Community Builder: Edit Configuration [CB Core] / Integrations tab, I don't see one.

I do see your latest build, so I'll retry the update now...

After attempting to update from the Web:

Received the same two errors: "The supplied Site Key does not appear to be valid..." error, and the "You do not appear to be logged into www.joomlapolis.com/ ." notice.
...even though I actually am logged into Joomlapolis.com. I refreshed the Web cache using the button at the bottom - no change, still see the two errors.

I regenerated the site key on Joomlapolis, copied it into my Config, saved and refreshed Install from Web, and voila, it worked again...
We'll see if it sticks...
