I wanted to explore being able to use my preferred user management extension (Community Builder) with Stackideas'
Easy Discuss
I know CB integrates well with Kunena already but like some of the added capability of EasyDiscuss. My biggest challenge with Kunena is the limited templating/styling options. Some 3rd party vendors have also stopped making Kunena templates.
I was thinking that CB Synchronize Users Tool might be a way to be able to connect them. EasyDiscuss uses the native Joomla user function.
I am wondering if anyone out there has tried using these together.

CB uses native Joomla user objects, but extends onto them using our own user object. It's fine for Easy Discuss to use Joomla user objects, but don't allow registrations through Easy Discuss and only allow registrations through CB. We don't have any integrations with Easy Discuss and there are no plans for one for the foreseeable future unless they eventually provide a free version then it could be considered.
Our plans are to implement a Discussions API into CB Activity and basically provide our own forums. I don't have a time frame for this however. We like the idea of basically using exclusively our products on Joomlapolis so we'll be going more and more that direction.
