Field Group shall be empty and not shown was created by ericmuc
Hi,
I have a field group. With a tab in the profile and with ajax front edit.
At the beginning no data are shown, but the placeholder.
The user tries to store now some data but don't want fill in something. By this the placeholder shall be shown again.
But I have now following situation:
Data set =
text field
drop down field
The drop down filed has no empty option (and shall not) and therefore the frist option is stored by first saving. The text field can the user make empty, but not the drop down field.
My idea: autoaction by saving the data set with the empty field for making the drop down field set ="".
How I can achieve that? I tried some autoactions, but they did not work. Can you suggest me here a solution?

Make your dropdown field not required and it should have an empty selection at the top. Alternatively add an empty option within the dropdown field by configuring the first option with an empty value. Example as follows.
