[#2283] Joomla 1.6 + CB 1.4 Login problem was created by SurfCitySue
This is a new site running Joomla 1.6 and I have only chosen a template and installed CB 1.4RC so far. nothing else has been installed.

I am getting this error after step 2.8 of the Installation Guide...

"Session expired or cookies are not enabled in your browser. Please press "reload page" in your browser, and enable cookies in your browser. Please refresh/reload page before filling-in."

beat fixed it for me.

He had me change my server's timezone to the correct time zone. As per beat, I need to verify it works tonight from 10:00 PM till 12:00 AM as the server changes day of the month and I do not since I am 1 hour behind it's time zone.

Also Cache was turned off last night by me, which might have been a contributing factor to it's working status today.

I had the same error this evening from sometime after 8:30 PM (might have been earlier,I didn't pay attention because I thought it would happen after 10:00 PM) up till 11:10 PM.

Same issue today after around 4:00 PM, still have the issue now and it is currently 6:20 PM. I will try to monitor tonight up till 12:00 AM.

Please check that the timezone configured within Joomla configuration is correct. It's likely the offset is incorrect causing sessions to expire at unexpected times. To test if this is the issue set the session duration to 999 and confirm if still expiring unexpectedly or not.
