[SOLVED] CBsubs 1.2.1 | import existing users in plan

12 years 9 months ago - 12 years 9 months ago #170356 by pepperstreet
I tried to use the simplest import option. All existing users with J! user group "registered" should go into a default plan. This plan has the time parameter "lifetime".

The import parameters let me chose a plan; active state; subscription date. The help text says, that the expire date is set by the plans parameters...

I thought this would be "lifetime" or "never" in my case. But the expire date is only 1 year after subscription?!?

Any clues?

I could not duplicate your issue. Where are you seeing that their subscription expires in 1 year as apposed to being lifetime? Please provide exact steps to duplicate.

As I mentioned before: I just tried the super simple import option: "All user from a given CMS ACL group"
In my case "registered".
I setup 6 demo users yesterday.
All of them show an expire date in "subscriptions" manager/list).

i just tried to re-create it with the new CBsubs 1.2.1
I had to delete ALL 6 subscriptions one by one (unfortunately there is no batch/bulk tool to do such a task?!)
I repeated the same import of the 6 registered users with state active. The message log stated successful etc.

But now there is NO user in the subscription list?!?!

I could not duplicate your issue on CB 1.7 RC with CBSubs 1.2.1. Please confirm your Joomla and CB versions so may investigate further. They likely reason you saw no import the second time is perhaps the import was changed to test mode by mistake?

ooops, sorry I forgot to mention the obvious and nessecary specs.

I think I am using the most common setup:

J1.5.23
CB1.4
CBsubs 1.2.1

Checked it again and again. The import did not activate or create any subscription. Though, the message says:

Success:
6 users subscribed to plan: Registriertes Mitglied , with state: Active
...

I could not duplicate this issue. Please check that if you're importing free lifetime plans that you've configured CBSubs > Settings to create subscriptions for free lifetime plans.
